Lunches –Anyone using any of the pub’s facilities; garden, toilet,  etc. please ensure a purchase is made (soft drink, coffee etc) Never consume own drinks on pub’s premises. Always get permission before eating own food in a pub.

Wear good, comfortable shoes or walking boots, take suitable wet weather gear.

Walk leaders, as members of the Ramblers, have third party liability insurance to lead walks.

Each walk description identifies if dogs, on a short lead, are permitted.

SAT 1st NOV

10:30 am TQ946344 (TN26 3SQ). Meet at the parking place of Woodchurch Community Center. Approximately 4 mile walk through some lovely varied countryside. We will be back at 12:30 at the Hall for the AGM. Teas, coffees, biscuits, and possibly cakes will be available. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

SUN 2nd NOV

10 am TR236631. Meet at Grove Ferry car park. 10m circular walk: out via Pluck’s Gutter to Preston (5.5m).  Picnic lunch stop in Preston. return via Dead Mill Bridge (4.5m). Walk not suitable for dogs.

10 am TR048470. Meet at Wye station C.P., Bramble Lane. 4 miles circular walk across fields to the North Downs Way. Return via Boughton Aluph Church and Perry Court Farm. The train leaves Ashford at 9h35 but check Nat rail 08457484950. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR177438. Meet at Elham square. Approx 9 mile circular walk to Stelling Minnis. Lunch pub/picnic. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR002332. Meet at Hamstreet sports field car park. 5 mile circular walk through Hamstreet woods to Ruckinge. Returning via the Royal Military Canal. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TQ946344. Meet at Woodchurch recreation ground car park. 10 mile circular walk to Warehorne via The Wish. Lunch in Warehorne. The only pub seems to have shut sadly so pack lunch needed. Then along the Royal Military Canal , Saxon Shore way - to on  to Sly Corner, Pond Wood and back into Woodchurch. Walk not suitable for dogs.

13:30 pm TR019444 (TN24 9DN). ASHFORD RAMBLERS XMAS LUNCH and housewarming at 5 Tudor Road, Kennington, Ashford. Everyone is welcome from 13h30 onwards. Plenty of on-street parking. Food etc. will be arranged. Please let Paul know if you want to attend, so he knows how many to cater for.

10 am TQ866528. Meet at Harrietsham Station. 10 mile circular walk: Harrietsham , Pilgrims Way, Deans Hill, pub stop at Wormshill. A couple of steep hills, a few stiles but generally flat through pasture, woodland and arable. Walk not suitable for dogs.

10 am TR078455 Wye Crown. Park at the Devils Kneading Trough restaurant. Approx 5 mile circular walk through the lovely valley behind the Wye Crown. If the restaurant is open, option of lunch or coffee afterwards. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR007628 Oare. Park on road near Castle Inn. 8.5m figure-of-eight walk: out via Luddenham Court and Ospringe (5m). Return via Faversham Creek. Picnic lunch near Castle Inn. Walk not suitable for dogs.

10 am TQ951495. Meet at School Road, Charing. 6 mile circular walk along fields and trackways, climbing up the downs to Warren Street. Involves a steep climb. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR254384 Capel Le Ferne. Meet at the Cliff Top Café, Old Dover Road. 10 mile circular walk. Footpaths to Dover via West Hougham and Tower Hamlets. Picnics on seafront, Plenty of pubs nearby. Return along Saxon Shore Way (along cliff top). Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR010505. Meet at Challock village hall. Snow drop walk. Lunch stop in the woods near Bourton Aluph. Ending at the church where they serve teas cake and snacks, short walk from there back to village hall. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TQ951495. Meet opposite the school, School Lane, Charing. A fairly easy morning walk  Charing, BurntHouse Farm Squids Gate, Westwell Downs approx. 6 miles . Dogs on a short lead permitted.

Meet at Hothfield Common parking place. 7 mile circular river valley walk starting in the lovely nature reserve of Hothfield Common and then south to join the Greensands Way and Stour Valley Walk, following the River Spinney in places. Do bring a packed lunch. Dogs on a short lead welcome.
