Lunches –Anyone using any of the pub’s facilities; garden, toilet,  etc. please ensure a purchase is made (soft drink, coffee etc) Never consume own drinks on pub’s premises. Always get permission before eating own food in a pub.

Wear good, comfortable shoes or walking boots, take suitable wet weather gear.

Walk leaders, as members of the Ramblers, have third party liability insurance to lead walks.

Each walk description identifies if dogs, on a short lead, are permitted.

10 am TR254384 Capel Le Ferne. Meet at the Cliff Top Café, Old Dover Road. 10 mile circular walk. Footpaths to Dover via West Hougham and Tower Hamlets. Picnics on seafront, Plenty of pubs nearby. Return along Saxon Shore Way (along cliff top). Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR010505. Meet at Challock village hall. Snow drop walk. Lunch stop in the woods near Bourton Aluph. Ending at the church where they serve teas cake and snacks, short walk from there back to village hall. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TQ951495. Meet opposite the school, School Lane, Charing. A fairly easy morning walk  Charing, BurntHouse Farm Squids Gate, Westwell Downs approx. 6 miles . Dogs on a short lead permitted.

Meet at Hothfield Common parking place. 7 mile circular river valley walk starting in the lovely nature reserve of Hothfield Common and then south to join the Greensands Way and Stour Valley Walk, following the River Spinney in places. 10 am TR048470. Wye to Chilham. Park at Wye railway station (not in the centre of town). Lovely hilly circular walk up the north downs to Chilham. Return via the Stour valley on the other side of the river. Lunch at Chilham, two tea rooms available. 14 miles. There is the option of doing only the first (6 miles) or second (8 miles) part of the walk by taking the train Wye-Chilham. Dogs on a short lead permitted.

10 am TR124342. Meet at Parking place in West Hythe next to the military canal. 14 mile Circular walk going uphill towards Lympne castle (nice views) and via the Saxon shoreway to Saltwood. Moving north we cross the railway & M20 and go uphill to radio station Cumulus. We follow the Elham valley way (dismantled  railway) and will pay a short visit to the railway museum annex tearoom. Do bring a packed lunch. Long walk, but definitely worth the effort. Dogs on a short lead permitted.
