Walk Programme

Please Note All walks start at 10:00 am Unless otherwise stated.

Most walks listed below are intended primarily for Ramblers' Association members. Non-members are welcome to join us as guests on two or three walks, though if you walk with a group regularly you will be expected to join the RA.

Please make sure that you are fit enough to undertake the walk you intend to join. If you're unsure of your fitness level, try a short and easy walk first: it's much better to find a walk a little too slow and easy than to make yourself miserable and exhausted.

Most Ramblers' walks are off-road in rural areas. Please have suitable footwear and clothing for the walk you intend to join, and bring some food and drink, even if the walk includes a pub or cafι break. Leaders may refuse to accept participants who in their opinion are inadequately equipped or unfit. When in doubt, contact us in advance.

For your own and others' safety please follow the instructions of the walk leader. Though walking is inherently one of the safest outdoor activities, no activity is completely without risk and it is your responsibility to behave sensibly and to minimise the potential for accidents to occur.

If you wish to bring your dog on to a walk please ring the Walk Leader prior to the walk and abide by their decision. All dogs must be on a ‘non-extending’ type of lead at all times

Are you able to offer a walk for your next walks programme?

We depend on Walk Leaders to make any programme possible but as with all things it is almost impossible to continually get new volunteers, therefore the pressure is placed on a few willing souls who enjoy walking too much to see their group cease to function.

The Ashford Ramblers need your help in providing a regular and varied programme with as many walks as possible and they can be on any day a.m. or p.m.   So if you can help please let me have your walk by 7th June. If you need any further information or help please contact me David Gatward 01580 762355 or email  irambleon@yahoo.co.uk
